When I was small I dreamend of a small Lundby Village with all Lundby things I always saw in the shop window of our local toyshop...
I dreamend that my dolls would have a swimming pool (like my best friend Friederike had in her real garden)...
Do you wanna jump into the cool water?! I would like to, but the pool is even to small for one of my feet ;D
It´s just a little childhood dream come true... (by the way, the pool came with the 1975 Gothenburg and was one of the things I watched so often at eb** and I couldn´t afford normaly)I´m wishing you a sunny summer - maybe with a pool in your (Lundby) garden :) *Nicola
P. S.: One good advice: Never fill water in your vintage Lundby pool like I did! I don´t know if it never was made for filling water in it or if it became leak through the years?! Anyway after the photo shooting there was water everywhere and I had to dry it in the sun. Now it is dry again, but also has some water markings on it :( ... I thought it was a toy *argh*!!!

Congratulations Nicola, I'm also looking forward to a big pool party! But I have a confession to make. I actually had that pool when I was a child, but didn't think it was fun since I couldn't have water in it, so when I moved away from home and didn't have that much space for my dollshouse I got rid of it. (There wasn't any ebay back then and I didn't know these pools were in demand)
My only comfort is the pool in the new Stockholm house.
Hi Nicola. So sorry the darn toy leaked. I am sure I would fill it up with water too. I sure like that pool of yours and would love to shrink myself, come over and water proof it so your dolls and I could go swimming. Someday I hope to find one of the Lundby pools but for today I'm content! Have a lovely, joyous weekend.
It looks wonderful with water in it - so real, so inviting! Pity you can't keep water in it, but I hope the marks from the water go - maybe it will just take some time to dry out completely? But otherwise, it will just look more authentic - real pools also show marks from having water in them :-)
Glückspilz, dass Du so preiswert dran gekommen bist, ich zögere noch sehr, auch weil ich überhaupt nicht weiß, wie ich ihn dekorieren sollte, es gibt doch keine Biegepuppen in Badeanzügen - so ist der kleine Pool vor meinem Hennig-Haus im Moment noch leer - vielleicht hast Du ja eine gute Idee für Deinen Pool, ich bin gespannt.

Waaaaahhhh!! Helene das sind ja Geschichten! Aber ehrlich gesagt, ich verstehe dich, denn das Pool braucht ja viel Platz und bietet kaum Spiel-Möglichkeiten - außer auszulaufen ;D Aber schon schade irgenwie...
Dear Amy, maybe we could invite Mary and Martin and all the other (modern) peeps who could be undressed ;D Poor Lundbys - they have to leave the clothes on all the time. And yes, I had to put water in it :/ but now i have to find something that looks like water and isn´t wet...!
Rebecca you are so sweet :) thanks for the consolation! I think the water marks stay, because the paper is always a bit dusty and dirty and if it gets wet you have this marks. All of my houses have them... I think they used a very cheap and unsuitable paper for a toy and wouldn´t do it today!
Liebe Pustubsa, ja ich war wirklich ein lucky-ducky :) Ich habe das Haus unter anderem wg. des Pools genommen. Es gab übrigens tatsächlich auch Puppen in Schwimmsachen für diesen Pool: http://www.toysmiles.com/VOL4NO2.pdf, Seite 2. Allerdings sind die sehr rar, weil es sie wohl nicht lange gab. Ich habe ein paar Lundby Puppen, die ohne Kleider kamen und/oder die man eh´ ausziehen konnte... Mal schaun, was ich denen ein paar Bikinis mache. Und dann muß ich demnächst wohl auch als Wasserattrappe Folie verwenden verwenden, so wie sie es bei der Augsburger Puppenkiste immer gemacht haben. :)
Och Menno, Augsburger Puppenkiste wollte ich sagen - mit der blauen Folie, die sich bewegte und das Meer darstellen sollte. Ich fand es sehr beeindruckend, aber neulich habe ich mal eine Frau gesprochen die erzählte, sie habe sich verarscht gefühlt als Kind. So verschieden sind wir.
Der Pool ist jedenfalls ganz süß. Und du hast wieder tolle Fotos gemacht. Kann mir schon vorstellen wie das ist, wenn sich so ein Traum erfüllt. Freue mich für dich.
Nun werd ich noch ein bisschen grübeln, wie man den Wasser-Effekt hinkriegen kann.
