Hi, my name is Nicola. I am a collector and designer with a weakness for everything vintage.
Sewing since i could hold a needle and being the mum of Annina, Mara and Cosima, designing clothes, toys and accessories for them, made me studying Design, in my thirties (at the University of applied sciences for design) and becoming a Dipl. Fashion Designer at last. With a short loop way working at the wellknown german toy company "Kaethe Kruse", my live and work finally turned into a wonderful business adventure by running my little shop Püppilottchen for a while. I loved to create kidsfashion, quilts, childrens accessories and toys in a „retro-turned-modern style“ and i liked to mix modern designer fabrics and vintage fabrics, to create something „old-new“ and mostly unique.
Meanwhile I moved to Berlin and work for the fancy swedish company Ikea. But I’m still designing & crafting for my family, for me and also for the dolls. And I still love to visit fleamarkets and charity shops, because they are a never ending source to find nice stuff for my collections and to be inspired...
Here at pueppilottchen's toy blog" I´ll show you parts of my collections like Blythe dolls, Käthe Kruse dolls, Lundby dollhouses, Asian ball-jointed dolls and vintage children's books. I'll talk about doll's fashion, dolly living and other "dollish" things!
I adore your comments and would like to know, if you want to use my photos in your blog or elsewhere, so I can reciprocate the link. Please don´t copy anything without my permission!!!
