News from Lundby Village

yesterday afternoon when all the older lundby kids went out to play with friends, mrs. lundby decided to visit christine, because she wanted to know how the idea with the lonely hearts announcement worked out. (and she also was a bit curious about the villa - but pssst!)

fortunately christine was home after work and had the time for a little talk. she told mrs. lundby that she had another idea for the "menhunt"! when she bought the house she knew she has to rent out the lower part of the house, because she doesn´t need all the space and she also needs the rent. so she will make a announcement to hire out the appartement with a search for a male roomer - isn´t she clever?

christine´s dachshunds piff & paff were very interested in baby, but baby first was a bit shy... but look it tryed to stand on the sofa to get a better look on the dogs! mrs. lundby is very happy about that. baby often comes to briefly with four elder siblings and so it´s good to see, it is going it´s own way.

later on christine showed mrs. lundby the appartement. it´s crowded with furniture the previous owner left and christine bought with the house. she doesn´t like anything in here, but maybe the new roomer will use it first? she also needs a kitchen...

she also would like a man with a car - the garage is so empty! she is going to work by bike but she´s dreaming of a car, too...

when baby started to stand in the buggy to look for piff & paff, it was time to go home...

christine promised mrs. lundby to call her soon when she get´s some answers on the announcement.

on her way home mrs. lundby was thinking about the lovely big villa and all the space christine has just for her own needs and about the lovely modern lether sofas...

and christine went into her big house just with piff & paff at her side and thought about how cute baby was and that mrs. lundby is a lucky person with a lovely husband and a bunch of children...

and they both thought how good it is to have a friend!

credits: the house is the lundby stockholm mansion, the most furniture are original lundby from the 70s, some from the 80s. dolls: christine/lundby, mrs lundby & baby/caco, so is baby´s buggy. piff & paff are playmobil. there is also an unknown birdcage in the corner of the livingroom (info´s about it are welcome).

How exciting!!! I love the news and the dog's names. Maybe "Lance Romance" will be needing a place to rent and he'll have a nice car. Very, very creative post. Made my day. Thanks Nicola. It is sure nice to have friends.

Great post, you write so well and the photos tells a story too! I love the baby with piff&paff and the buggy is beautiful!
Speaking of single men for Christine; I have just got one goodlooking Frenchman who's a teacher and I soon will get another nicelooking man who's also a teacher and single :-) Does Chrisine believe in long distance realationships?

I forgot to say, I love Christine's skirt, have you made it?

I love the baby too! First sitting on Mum's lap, then looking over the back of the sofa - and trying to stand up in the pram! So lifelike. I'm glad Mrs Lundby (does she have a name?) and Christine are friends - I do hope that Christine meets a nice man, but renting out a flat might not give her the result she's looking for, perhaps!

@amy - thank you :)! i hope there will be some guys who are not just "lance romances" - but we will see... and yes, one of the greatest thing in our lifes is to have good friends!!

@helene - i´m happy you like it :) i had so much fun yesterday, when i planned the story and arranged the dolls. some details came while "playing". i had no idea for the dogs names... and then suddenly "ta-dah" ;D the caco baby and the little buggy were always my fav´ dollhouse things to play with. and my baby has such a very, very cute face! i have a second one which came with a cradle, together with the stockholm villa and it´s a big difference between these both...

um, and yes i think christine believes in long distance realationships, but she also want´s to raise a family and i don´t know if it´s works when her sweetheart is a teacher in norway...

by the way, she is wearing the original "lundby fashion" from the early 80s. so unfortunately i wasn´t the fashion designer who made her skirt.

@rebecca - lifelike :) thank you!! it´s easy to arrange the caco dolls "lifelike" because they are so versatile. christine´s body is so "stiff" she always looks like a "little general" ;D and you are right!! i don´t know if christine´s idea will have the result she is looking for, but she is a very practical person and so she trys to kill two birds with one stone.

um, and yes mrs. & mr. lundby have no forenames... and it´s the same with baby :( i guess i will change that very soon!

Nicola, such a nice story and wonderful pictures...one can feel the gentleness of Mrs. Lundby toward her little one! And your last sentence sums it up so well...it's good to have friends. Great post...and I love the new twist in your on-going story with a male renter on the horizon. Looking forward to the next installment! Flo
