Blythe Flat Lay - August

This months theme in the Blythe Flat Lay Challenge fb group was: A day in the life. 

So I decided to let Wolkje be a little mini-me, made an IKEA polo for her (by cutting an original second hand shirt in pieces)...

 and let her be a little IKEA Sales-Coworker... That's what I do in my work time... Now, you know :D

Dollily handmade or FINALLY finished!

Last summer I was in the mood to make something for my neglected Blythe dolls again and started to knit some tops for dresses... finished the pink dress with the fawns on it... gave it to my dear dolly friend Schneckiene when she came for a short visit to Berlin... 

and the other three tops went into my stash, hanging around with some other unfinished things I brought with me from Minden to Berlin... unbelievable, but true!

But when I wrote this post I had the wilful intent to finally finish all things in my stash before I start something new... 

I even managed to finally sew some buttons on a Secretdoll Person dress & helmet I knitted ... really a while ago ;)

So *YEAH* for me and the FOs -> Finished objects

Now I am planning to sew some Spring-dresses and something 70s for a special Blythe doll, I will give myself for my birthday in April...

Some other good news; my Pretty Peony landed in Berlin after WEEKS and I will go to the custom tomorrow to pick her up! Excitement!! EDIT: it wasn't Pretty Peony and so the wait is still going on :(

Blythe fashion sets SPRING declutter

Today the Dollily dolls did what we all do in Spring; they checked their closet and found a few things they will not wear any longer ;)

After a summer break...

I carried on with the clean out in my little blue house and found a lot treasures which are now on ebay for you to grab - You can get them HERE

You will find lots of nice magazines (BURDA Puppenmode, Beyers, MEZ, Schürer, Schwanenpost) and intructions to sew, crochet and knit lovely things for Schildkröt, Kathe (Käthe) Kruse, Barbie and antique dolls. Don't miss my auctions!

It's really not easy to part from all these treasures I collected for a long time, but I plan to move and I am sure there will not be enough space for all the lovely things...

Dollily - Blythe fashion & customs

The last two months I was really busy with Blythe :) 

I finished three customs (one of them an Icy doll - Blythe clone):

Made a design for a sweet knitted dress with striped sleeves...

And sewed also some cute babydoll dresses from an awesome vintage 60s fabric I had in my stash. Wanted to do this for long... Yes, and also crocheted some Blythe bear helmets!

I'm pretty happy with the outcome! Next project I'm working on is a complete outfit with a "the little red riding hood" -theme... But more about this later ;)

Käthe Kruse Puppe eins - Doll one

Doll one/ doll I (Puppe eins/Puppe I in german) is still my absolutely favourite Käthe Kruse doll ever :) I love her sweet, sweet face (some of the older ones look so cute-grumpy!) and also her chubby and soft body made of fabric ( like her head!)

So recently when I started to write my Portfolio at my Püppilottchen page (some of you know I´m looking for a designer job) I started to sort all my Käthe Kruse pictures and sketches, because there also is a K. Kruse unit and it needed pictures!

When I wrote my letter of application to the company in 2003, I made a little collection for Doll I with replicas of the sweet antique clothes which are shown in Käthe Kruse´s very first catalogue from 1913. Unfortunately the photos I once made were not digital and so I decided to make new pics with Felix. Here you can see him in his Felix outfit.

They also had a Fritz in a nice blue apron in the catalogue

And lovely Margretchen in warm winter clothes (made from vintage fabric)

Felix also had to be the little red riding hood (Rotkäppchen) and he did a good job :)

And here we find him dressed as Peter with cute little mittens

I had so much fun to dress him and take the pictures and one real good thing happened: I came back to the dolls I really love the most since I´m a child: Käthe Kruse dolls! 

Yes, I also like the Latis, Persons and Blythes... but none or them will ever reach my love for Kruse dolls

Sweet little vintage hanky babydoll dresses for Blythe

My granny gave a lot of sweet children´s handkerchiefs to me when I was a child and I kept them all the time because I really like the vintage 60s and 70s figures on them. I always thought someday I will know what to do with them...



And then it happend :) The size is perfect to sew little Blythe dresses thereof!

...with tiny puffy sleeves and embellished with lovely vintage ribbons and braids... Aw, I really love them and it´s so much fun to design and sew them!

BlytheCon Europe gleanings...

Some of you know I have been to the BlytheCon Europe in Berlin this summer and today I´ll finally show you some pictures of this great event!

We also had a raffle but unfortunately I won.... nothing :(

Hilary with her adorable moshimoshi fashion was my neighbour on the same table and it was so great to meet someone who is in that Blythe world for a while longer than me! We had so much fun together :)

A lot of the people brought their lovely dollies with and had a lot fun with chatting and playing ;)

All in all it was a wonderful day for me! So much input, new experiences, lovely flickr friends I met in real and yes of course - so many sweet dolls!!!

The next BlytheCon Europe will be in Barcelone and I really hope I can be there again!!

BlytheCon Europe - Berlin

After I had the luck to get a stall at the BlytheCon Europe in Berlin (more Infos her on the BlytheCon Europe homepage) I´m busy with sewing, knitting and crocheting.

Just a few more weeks to go and I hope I´ll finish everything I have on my list!!
