Some more outfits I made for my little etsy shop *Dollily*...

I really enjoy to make these tiny clothes and I´m happy there are other people like me, who collect Secretdoll persons and love my *Dollily* fashion for them :)

I opened also a group for *Dollily* fashion at flickr and it´s so much fun to see other peoples dolls in the clothes I knitted & sewed! Join in if you like!!

I also made prototype for a cool dress with a tie or moustache on it :)

Dollily - fashion for dolls

I started into the new year with the opening of another shop: *dollily* on etsy :)

My BJD-love grows and grows and I really enjoy to make clothes for them. And after I made enough for Mila, Romi, (Lati yellow) Enie & Ella (Secretdoll person) I thought it´ll be nice to sell the rest...

I also love to take pictures of my dollies - they are so flexible and cute!!

I´m sure more will come :)

Neuer Schnitt Puppenheft - Doll´s fashion

One of the maaaany doll´s fashion magazines of my collection, I really adore!

It shows all the Schildkröt Puppen (turtle mark dolls) I know from my childhood and also the fashion I wore when I was small (in the 60s).

Invitation for the doll´s wedding!!!

Little fashion designer of tomorrow with the small singer for children - I says: I sew all myself for my favourite doll on my Singer sewing machine!

We are the big ones! These big dolls (50 - 60 cm) were very popular in the 60s - I don´t know why??

Besides taking a short glimpse in this lovely vintage doll´s fashion magazine I´m totally involved with taking pictures, writing descriptions, setting items in the shops and also sewing for my two online shops "Püppilottchen" and "RetroPueppi" - less time for hobbies and so all the Lundby houses are covered with dust again and all the BJD dolls are waiting for new clothes...

Petra Wohnhaus, 70er Jahre - The Petra house from the 70s

Recently I found this kind of dollshouse on a fleamarket and because of the nice price it took it with me and wanted to put it into my Dawanda-Shop...

Petra was the german equivalent of the well known Barbie doll. You can deflate the inflatable furnitures and can fold the house up to put all the things together in the flat cardbox. These kind of inflatable play things were very populare in my 70s childhood. Plastic-fantastic and dazzling colours that´s what I grew up with!

But... all the time I looked at it I thought: "It´s to cool to give it away..." Awww - look at these typical 70s details printed at the walls!! I´m sure I´ll make one of these pillows with traffic signs in dollhouse size someday! I´m a kind of hoarder as you surely all know and can´t part from things I like (even if I don´t know why ;D )

And there is one fact you also can´t ignore - it´s way to big for Lundby dolls and I don´t have any Barbie to fit in. (And I´ll never get one!!)

So time past by and the house slept its deep sleep...

until I fell into my BJD-love and ordered the Secretdoll, picture doll, Person 15! She has the perfect size (19 cm) and I guess it will be fun to let her "live" in this house :)

So the moral of this story is: Always keep things which are to cool to give them away ;D

Hum, what´s up here??

... nothing ;D Sorry, I haven´t been here for so long! Since the end of spring I felt a bit unsatisfied with my blogger-being. I felt a bit under pressure that I have to show more Lundby houses, furniture, more Caco dolls... aso! And if something pressures me it´s no fun anymore. And I also wasn´t in the mood to make more pictures of things you´ve seen before, too. So, what to do? I looked through my pictures to seek something I could show you and that´s what I found:

It´s me in 2004 at the studio at the Käthe Kruse company, where I worked for as a fashion designer for the dolls, surrounded by all the dolls I dressed up.

One things led to another. I felt I have to do more "hobby things" which encourage what I studied and what satisfies me like nothing else: designing & making clothes, making fashion for dolls :)! I don´ t know how could I forget?!

And so here we are. It´s me making cute doll´s fashion again and also discovering a new and very interesting hobby, too - Asian ball-jointed dolls - BJDs.

Does it mean you will not see any Lundby anymore :O NO, but you will also see more LaTi dolls & dolls fashion here :)

I hope you don´t mind these changes - but that´s me ;D I´ m an Aries and these persons are spontaneous, enthusiastic and always open for new experiences... So, stay tuned it´s going on here :)

Recently I found myself standing in front of my typecase again - starring on it for hours ;D I really adore all these tiny things! They make me so happy and looking at them makes me kind of relaxed, too!!

A mix of things from the flea market, my granny´s treasure chest, leftovers from my childhood and my children´s childhood...

Last not least I want to show you the basement floor with the hobby room & the garage. The Lundboms will have to decorate the den a bit more :) - It looks a bit empty so far... What do you mean?

Yesterday Petra (Oese) came for a short visit and as you can see: WE HAD A LOT FUN ;D

Petra brought Grey, her husband and little Greta with her and so Christine and Hans-Hermann had some nice company, too!

Piff and Paff were so happy Greta played with them!!

Two silly doll´s house addicts together - We could have chat the whole day, but Petra had to leave to soon, because she was on her way to holidays.

I hope we will meet again! So nice to have you here, Petra!

Lundby Göteborg/Gothenburg 1975 - Part 3.

Today I´ll show you the Lundbom´s bedroom & livingroom - Enjoy!

The beds are from my childhood (they belonged to the Lundbys before they had the "Blue heaven" bedroom.) All furniture, the carpet, the picture and the alarm clock are Lundby - but I think the lamps are from other companies (any information is welcome). The little perfume bottles are made by Bodo Hennig.

Most of the other furniture and accessoires came with the house, accept the (unknown) kitty on the vanity (she is a fleamarket find) and the bedside table lamp, it was in my stash...

I LOVE this "belling deer" paintig - so very cool and kind of retro-stylish :)

The livingroom was exactly furnished this way when I bought it - It shows a big range of items Lundby showed in the 1975 catalogue some of them as "NEW", like the sofa, armchair, the white glass cabinet & table called "Salon Elegance" (# 9518) and i really adore everything!

Only the little (unknown) bird cage, the phone (unknown) and the frog on the fireplace (kinder surprice egg) and the TV set (Lisa) aren´t Lundby things.

And look the Lundboms have some cute litte puppies, their boxer Perdita just gave birth to two tiny boxer ladies called "Pippa" & Polly"... And the kids love them!

Lundby Göteborg/Gothenburg 1975 - Part 2.

Today i´ll show you the second part of the Lundbom´s home - But sorry you will see nothing really new, if you know my Gotheburg/Göteburg fronm 1972/73 :) Both houses are to close to each other. Lundby changed the wallpaper during the three years and changed the blank coloured floors into floors with carpet. And they made some new items, but not so many... When I bought the house it included the same kitchen as Mrs. Lundby´s kitchen, decorated with some lovely Hennig & Lundby accessoires and an additional cool kitchen cupboard and i didn´t want to change anything:

Awwwww - i love, love, love the orange-70s-look of this kitchen!

Also the so called "Leksand diningroom" looks like the one in red you allready know... except the green lamp, which sure is not Lundby but I like it!

And like the Lundbys the Lundboms are real swedish people and they also have a Dala horse - Of course!!

Bertil loves to sit on the parlor bench at the evening, just thinking about this and that and to drink a good hot coffee in his special coffee mug!

And even the bathroom looks the same - Yellow with teak panels. But with a lovely mat Amy send to me as a christmas present :) (Thanks again my dear!!)

I hope you nonethe less enjoyed the little house tour?! The part with the bedroom and livingroom will be a bit more rich in variety - promised!

Lundby collectors meeting in the Netherlands

Last weekend i visited my collector-friend E. in the Netherlands. We know each other via the internet and i don´t live that far away, so it was easy to go there and to admire all her treasures. I´m still impressed by her lovely collection, mostly Lundby and also some other great houses like Lisa or Hanse. It was sooo great to see (and touch :) ) all these tiny things i only knew from catalogues and from the internet. Here is a small range of her collection:

This house is so cute - It looks like a shrunken Lundby Gothenburg :) ~~If anybody knows something about it - every info is welcome!~~ Supplement: I recently discovered this Okwa house (a dutch company) and i guess E.´s house must be an Okwa house, too! Awww - I want one, too!!! :)

Dear E., thank you so much for your guest-friendship and for all the time we spend together! I had so much fun and i´m in love with your collection :)

Happy Easter with "Lümpele"

Recently i found a bunch of old easter children´s books at our local charity shop. The most of them went into my lil´ Dawanda shop "RetroPüppi", but i couldn´t resist to keep one for me, because of the so very cool pictures/illustrations of 50s furnishings and life style! "Lümpele, the little easter bunny" (Lümpele means little scallywag or rascal)

The text is in German, but the pictures are telling the story without any words:

Awwww, so cute isn´t it?! Look at the wooden wall plague with the poodle - a bit like Mertens Kunst i adore so much!

Lundby Göteborg/Gothenburg 1975 - Part 1.

Come and meet the Lundboms (Gunilla & Bertil) :) They are the new owners of the Lundby Gothenburg doll´s house from 1975. They bought the house because they needed more space for their fast-growing family...

Mrs Lundbom is a child care worker and after the birth of their first daughter Kerstin they decided to have some foster children and also a private little day care, so she could work at home.

Here you can see Kerstin´s new foster siblings; Tilda & Linnea playing doll´s at the children´s bedroom.

I decided to furnish the children´s floor not just with Lundby furniture, because the range of Lundby nusery furniture wasn´t really big in the past! They always had bunk beds, a wooden play table and stools or later little armchairs (you can see both variations here) and (yes indeed) the blackboard!

So I mixed it with these cool green (typical 70s) plastic furniture made by "modella" and i really like the result! Gunilla´s visitor is a mother who wants to bring her baby girl to Gunilla´s day care...

These rooms are not furnished like "pressed into a time frame" as you know it from my other Lundby doll´s houses, because i wanted a real "day-care-look" for them. So it became something more free-style - Oops ;D

Credits: The furniture are Lundby and modella. The desk and chair is Playmobil. I guess the baby bed is Caco as baby´s bed at the Lundby´s house (it still needs some bedding). The lamps are Lundby and most of the pictures, too. I put some typical 70s illustrations into some Lundby frames at the bedroom. The round picture is made by "nutella" (a very well known german chocolate spread). In the 70s they put different kinds of naive art pictures into a small space between the glas and the cap, to make the children collect them all. The little toys are wooden ore mountains toys (erzgebirgs spielzeug) from my granny´s treasure chest and also from the 1:12 at Soest. The mini matrjoschka dolls are the smallest baby-matrjoschkas form some bigger ones i got. The plastic baby dolls are from my childhood - one is from a "kinder surprise egg". The books and blue cans are Bodo Hennig. Unfortunately i don´t know anything about these "Sesame Street" puppets Bert and Cookie Monster i found at a fleamarket - any informations are welcome! All dolls are Caco from the 70s.

Let there be a spring cleaning...

Do you remember this Lundby Gothenburg house from last year?! I do :) Since last year there lives a lovely family in the house, called the Lundboms. I´ll tell you more later... Aaaand as you all know (because i told you a thousand times) all my Lundby houses still need to be dusted!

So i told Mrs. Lundbom that she needs to do this for me, because I´m so busy all the time - AND LOOK WHAT HAPPEND! She is so great, isn´t she ;D

Here you can get a sneak peek into the Lundbom´s home... More pictures will follow, when Mrs Lundbom has finished :))) Promised! (And *pssst* - don´t tell her there are visitors upstairs at the children´s floor - maybe she stops to clean promptly...)

The Lundbys become famous...

Last winter some students of architecture from the university of Weimar discovered my picture of the Lundby´s home at flickr.

They asked me if they could use it for the cover of a magazine they make, called "Horizonte" (Horizons). Yes, sure :) - I was so proud they asked me! And don´t ask Mrs Lundby! She is still speechless being on a magazine cover!

It´s a very interesting and special magazine and i didn´t read everything, but a bit of this and that... The layout and design is very stylish and there are a lot cool pictures and illustrations inside:

They used diffent kinds of paper and there are parts with folded pages - All in all the magazine is design at itself!

I really like the idea of this livingroom in a suitcase - maybe ít´ll be an inspiration to make one...

70s doll´s fashion for Kruse dolls

Recently i found some pictures of cute Käthe Kruse "Hampelchen" in chrocheted and knitted 70s doll´s outfits in bright colours and with lovely details:

I love these old magazines, books and tutorials to make doll´s clothes :) They often show which kind of fashion was hip at that time and also reflect the spirit of the time in the mini version.

It´s finally time for something new!!

Sorry, i didn´t no postings the last time here at my toy blog - I´m to busy with my job & business... No time for playing with the Lundbys or to show news from the collection! (And i have to show news - but first i have to take pictures...)

One thing i want to show you for the moment is cute tiny "Coraly". She was the present for the club year 2010/2011 at the Käthe Kruse club and she is a real Erna Meyer doll´s house doll - Meant to be a pin, but i´ll use her as a doll :) Just 2,4 (6 cm) tall - perfect for Lundby houses! Isn´t she as cute as cute can be?!

Also in the parcel the K.K. Calendar and a nice card! Sometimes it´s really nice to be a club member :)

A blurry picture and blurry memories ...

When I recently sorted a bunch of pictures i found through my sisters things, i discovered another picture of me with my Lundby doll´s house...

And after i starred a while on it (and smiled a lot because i look so funny and also about Maria lying on the windowsill) i was really surprised about the fact, that my Gothenburg was not the well known one, i thought it was... no, it was a so called: economy or plain Lundby Gothenburg... My memories seem to be kind of unreliable :)

(This house is not mine - sold on eb** in 2010)

And because i didn´t find any pictures or informations in the old Lundby catalogues, i surched in the www and found a lot to show and explain the differences between the Lundby Gothenburg and the economy Lundby Gothenburg - if somebody is interested :). I think it was produced from the beginning of the 60s to the end of the 70s - but I´m not sure about that...

(Also not mine, but furnished with some funiture you sure know from the Lundby´s house!)
To tell the truth: If something is called economy it´s meant to be cheap :) So the plein Gothenburg is missing some details you can find at it´s more expensive sisters. First the roof:

It´s bright red like all the other Gothenburg´s roofs from that period, but without a chimney!

The back is made from just a simple hardboard and without a Lundby sticker or anything else.

The "bricks" at the sidewalls are directly printed on the hardboard.

The wooden edging at the front, is painted beige. It has nor windows neither doors - just white window sills and doorframes.

All floors are blue... And what makes the real difference: You can find no stairs and the bathroom is at the first level in the middle! And because there is no stair and no little space for a transformer underneath, you can´t find any electricity in the house... :(

At all the economies i saw at different sources (like this one from add_knitter here at flickr - Awwww, I love this picture!) they used light and simple wallpapers and you can find always this yellow-white patterned wallpaper in the upper left room, you can see here.

Funny is, i really can´t remember my "Economy" i played with for years! I was sooo sure how it must have looked and i guess "my memories" were influenced by some "little girl´s dreams" i had in my brain, from the past...

The Lundby parents are busy to prepare everything for christmas:

Mrs Lundby is wrapping the presents - here you can see her with a pull-along ducky for baby.

Mr. Lundby is going to write some christmas cards, but he´s still thinking about the right text.

Look at all the wrapping paper she bought :)

But who is peeking around the corner?! Naughty little Sabrina! Fortunately she can´t see anything and Mrs Lundby just pretends as if she does not see her...

Credits: The parcels and bags are from the Lundby advent calendar (2007), paper and cards are printies from TreeFeathers - Thanks I love them! The little pull-allong ducky and the nutcracker are tiny wooden toys i once bought at a Ore Montain advent market... Scissor unknown and so is the flowerpot - the rest is Lundby as usual.

I hope you all had a wonderful 3. Advent?! And please don´t miss the mini treasures wiki advent calendar! It´s as lovely as last year!!

First of all i want to say thank you for all your sweet words you wrote! It´s so good to know you think of me and understand why i had to make a break!!

I´ll try to move on with my little toy blog here... but all Lundby houses are covered with a heavy layer of dust, so i come back with another theme - Mertens art wooden toys:

If you were born in the 60s or 70s, you´ll probably know them. Mertens Kunst is a german company which is specialized on wooden toys and decorations like wall plaques, coat racks, jumping jacks and puzzles... The Designer is Ute Mertens and she works together with Alfred Mertens (unfortunately I don´t know how these two people belong together - a couple, father and daughter?! If you know something more, please let me know). Mertens Kunst is so characteristic for my childhood and nursery - I couldn´t imagine it without Mertens sweeties!

And every time i went to a fleamarket i always found somthing "Mertens" :) so i hoarded a lot of these lovely things in my tiny house over the years. Recently i decided to sell some of these treasures and one thing leads to another! I took pictures, opened a Dawanda Shop (it´s like etsy) for vintage things and also founded a new flickr group.

Now i can collect them virtual, have more space for Lundby stuff and Käthe Kruse and earn some money, too... I´m smart -or not?! ;D

were my Sister Andrea´s beloved Childhood toys she kept carefully for all the years...

Now they live at my house because we lost Andrea forever at the end of July...

Andrea at the age of 2 years Christmas eve 1965 with Maria. I think she was her first doll.

I´m still so very sad, sometimes kind of speechless and i guess it´ll take me some more time to handle this. So i´m not in the mood to write little Lundby stories I just try to get back to something normal.

I´ll be back and this toy blog will move on - promised! ...but not at the moment.

if I find vintage treasures! And I like it much more if they include things I didn´t expect! Recently I found a vintage "Constanze" special edition, from 1966 at our local charity shop. Inside a lot of craft ideas like knitting and crochting and at the children´s corner I found... a Lundby Gothenburg:

Look she´s got this special Lundby sofa in her hands Oese/Petra likes so much:

There was also this cute ad with a dolls Kitchen:

I guess the doll is a Schildkröt/Turtle mark doll?! You find some more pictures here at my Püppilottchen blog (it´s newly in english, too) and at my flickr.

As you sure noticed I was a bit lazy here with posting and commenting, because of the great summer weather and some more other reasons, like costum orders, crafting for my onlineshop and family... Next week the summer holidays are beginning here in North-Rhine-Westfalia and so I´m going to make a little summer break. I will be back at the end of august.

He loves cars and James Bond!

Hans-Hermann had a very busy time at his new job at the hospital, so it took a while until he finished to decorate his apartment.

But now everything is after his fancy and so he invited his best Friend Franz and Christine, to get to know each other and also to celebrate his new home with a good glas of wine.

Meanwhile Hans-Hermann and Franz talk shop about the latest James Bond car in Hans-Hermann´s collection...

Christine trys to get Piff of the bed. She is a bit irritated by the new Hunderwasser picture Hans-Hermann just hung over his bed - she really feels like someone is watching her!

Later everything is perfect - they talk about this and that (Cars, cars, James Bond and the latest movie...) and Christine begins to feel a bit more comfy despite of all the cars and Bond Posters surrounding her. The dogs feel the relaxed admoshere and...

look what the naughty boys are doing - rolling on Hans-Hermann new white carpet! (In german we call this kind of carpet "Flokati", but I didn´t find the word in my dict)

Hans-Hermann´s cool James Bond cars are Micro Machines i recently found on our fleamarket. Front row from the left to the right: Bentley Mark IV, From Russia with Love (1963), Aston Martin DB 5 "Most famous", Goldfinger (1964) & Fireball (1965), Lotus Esprit, The Spy who loved me (1977). Back row: I didn´t find any information about the red car but the blue one is a BMW Z3 Bond drove in Golden eye (1995).

The most furniture are Lundby, except the fireplace and TV (Lisa) and the sideboard (unknown). The "Flokati" is a piece of fake fur made by me. The new green Hundertwasser picture was a vintage tag for presents and it shows a detail of "Columbus rainy day in India" #687 A, painted in 1971.

Käthe Kruse doll´s house dolls

When I started to work as a Fashion Designer for the dolls, at the well known Toys Company Käthe Kruse in 2003 & 2004, one of my first jobs was to dress up little Friedebald, you can see at the left of this picture. (*Argh* I though I would break my fingers, but after all I really like his little outfit!)

He was the second one of a series of doll´s house dolls Käthe Kruse makes exclusively as a present, for the club members of the Käthe Kruse Club: "The Käthe Kruse Family".

These both are small Thumbelinas/Däumlinchen - The one at the left is a tiny Linchen with a blue dress. And look at the cute little strawberry bag! It was a present from Schneewalski who I met at the 1:12 in Soest.

The most of them are replicas of special doll types in a smaller size (They are from 11,5 to 13 cm small). Except the young man in the sailor suit. He shows Max Kruse the youngest son of the seven children of Käthe Kruse & Max Kruse senior.

This is a tiny "Rumpumpel Baby", one of the dolls I would like in the original size, too :) Each of them came in the typical red Käthe Kruse box with a small blanket and a certificate!

If I´m really thruthful I didn´t like these dollies at first... poor little things! I didn´t like the BIG hands and the porcelain heads, because they are so very, very wrong for Käthe Kruse dolls! But after a while I began to like them :) They are nice to decorate because of the flexible bodies and they are very cute as a doll for a doll. How do you like them?

The Lundby swimmingpool - Das Lundby Schwimmbecken

When I was small I dreamend of a small Lundby Village with all Lundby things I always saw in the shop window of our local toyshop...

I dreamend that my dolls would have a swimming pool (like my best friend Friederike had in her real garden)...

Do you wanna jump into the cool water?! I would like to, but the pool is even to small for one of my feet ;D

It´s just a little childhood dream come true... (by the way, the pool came with the 1975 Gothenburg and was one of the things I watched so often at eb** and I couldn´t afford normaly)

P. S.: One good advice: Never fill water in your vintage Lundby pool like I did! I don´t know if it never was made for filling water in it or if it became leak through the years?! Anyway after the photo shooting there was water everywhere and I had to dry it in the sun. Now it is dry again, but also has some water markings on it :( ... I thought it was a toy *argh*!!!

Sabrina & Sabine are very happy with all the toys I brought from the 1:12... I adore the tiny-tiny „The Very Hungry Caterpillar“ /"Die kleine Raupe Nimmersatt" book (it was my favorite book when I was small). It´s made like the really book - you can read every page!

The guy on the right isn´t Mr Lundby in cooler clothes - I found him on the fair too and he will live in the 1975 Lundby Gothenburg...

Petra and I planned to swap at the fair and she brought a bag full of treasures with her... aaaand I forgot mine at home! But I had to take Carry and Petra chose some of the furniture I once displayed at Furniture and Antiques. Thanks to the Internet it was no problem :)

Carry is a lovely old Caco doll and I first fell in love with her when I saw her at Petra´s blog! When I was small I always used my Mum´s old Caco dolls as dolls for the Käthe Kruse dolls, because to my mind they look like small K. Kruse dolls!

Perfect - isn´t it?! And because I don´t have a dollshouse in Carry´s size she now lives with all my Käthe Kruse dolls in my dolls showcase.

The Käthe Kruse Thumbelinas are both from 1977 - She´s called Margit & his name is Guido. The rocking chair is from Monchichi also from the 70s. The wooden bed is from my childhood. My parents once brought it along for me when they went for a hike without Andrea & me. The baby is from my childhood too and I think it´s ARI.

Yesterday Petra/Oese and me met at the 1:12 fair at Soest...

For me it was the first time I visited a miniature fair and I was absolutely overwhelmed by all the impressions!

There wasn´t nothing you couldn´t get in a small version and I was very glad I´m so focused on Lundby and things in 1:16 or 1:18 scale, because otherwise I could have bought much more than I did... *phew*

So I watched Petra while she decided what stylish chair or daybed she would like to buy at www.hetbehoudenhuis.nl...

was fascinated by all the things some people make, like fimo food or mini porcelain dolls and learned a lot about the miniworld in 1:12, I never could imagine before!

I bought some tiny things which will go for my Lundby houses too I´ll show you in another post...

AND it was also great to meet Petra in real life! We knew each other a bit from several phonecalls and had a lot of fun on our first little blogger-meeting!!

Tornados... Earthquake...?!

Very recently I was a "Glückspilz" (lucky mushroom) again ;D
This old Lundby Gothenburg/Göteborg (and the furniture) were on eb** and the seller lived in the same town as me...

So I made a bit and thought: "If I get it for 1.00 €uro I´ll take it..." And the lucky winner was: ME! :) I´ll take the extension as a basement hobby room for the Lundby´s new neighbours. Maybe someone has some garage doors for me?

I don´t know exactly what to do with the "Tornado-House" but it offers some nice opportunities. I always thought it must be fun to renovate an old Lundby house and to decorate it like I want - maybe with some new crazy 70s wallpaper?! I could make the upper storey in one because the wall got lost anyway... So many ideas - we will see...

The Lundby Gothenburg/Göteborg shape in real life

Today I made a cycline tour here at Minden and the surrounding and had my Lundby-glases on :)

I found a lot of Gothenburg-shaped houses during the trip I never noticed before...

I guess they were all build during the 50s and 60s and...

some of them were renovated and modernized since then

I like this one the best because of the small glass bricks and the original look!

Lundby Göteborg/Gothenburg, 1970 - Part 3.

Third and last part of the Lundgren´s Gothenburg house tour:

Meanwhile Greta did the dishes Konrad layed the table for the afternoon tea at the lovely empire dinigroom...

At this part of the house you can see that someone played with it before. The stylish staircase with the wooden banister was fixed with silicone and the varnish of the doors & frames of the house looks a bit used, too.

Greta: "Honey, why did you forget the cups, we can´t have tea without cups..."

Konrad:"Oh, sorry... (Thinks: Women! You can do what you want something is always wrong...)

The entrance...

and the bathroom - which is nearly the same as in the Gothenburg of the Lundby´s, but with blue tiles and made in one piece. The toilet is hidden behind the wardrobe-piece.

The hallway piece has a little light at the top of the mirror, but Greta & Konrad still need a mirror and light for the bathroom. They also want some paintings for the diningroom and they would like some carpets for both rooms, too.

Credits: All furniture are Lundby (as usual ;D). The lamps and the mirror at the dinigroom are Lundby, too. The little pinguins are from my granny´s treasure chest. The tea service (without cups and plates - poor Konrad!) is from my mum´s doll´s house. The cake is from "fimozauber" and is made from the same recipe like this cake here :). The owl is one of the first tiny gifts they had in the "kinder surprice eggs" in the 7os and was a fleamarket find. The small coathangers are Bodo Hennig. They came with my "new" Gothenburg from 1975 and were perfect for the hallway piece.

Lundby Göteborg/Gothenburg, 1970 - Part 2.

Today I´ll show you the Lundgren´s bedroom & kitchen:

Greta & Konrad like to travel and have their own sailing yacht! You can see them on the photo on Greta´s nightstand. It was taken on the last journey to the Lake Garda.

I´m very happy with the bedroom, because everything is so cozy & light. I´m absolutely in love with the bedding - the roses are so cool! (If somebody knows if it´s original Lundby please let me know, because I´m not sure). I think they also need a blue carpet...

I also like the kitchen - it was not easy to fix the wall cupboard without leaving marks, but now it works! They still need a wall lamp and some curtains to to put the finishing touches to the room.

Do you remember these kitchen calendars printed on towls?! My Mum used to hang them on the wall in the 70s and later we used them as towls until they were totally washed-out.

Credits: All furniture are Lundby, so are the most accessoires. The swan & the little lamp on the vanity are fom my childhood - I think the lamp was inside a grab bag or a bubblegum automate, the same with the clock on Konrad´s nightstand. The frame was a kinder surprise egg gift, but without the photo which is vintage and I don´t know the persons on it... The painting is unknown and shows a lovely montain scene - sorry, the lamp was in the way! The kitchen lamp is Lundby, but I´m not sure with the one in the bedroom - Info´s welcome! The calender is printed on paper and I found it on flickr :) The bottles and some pieces of the dishes are Hennig.

Lundby Göteborg/Gothenburg, 1970 - Part 1.

Do you remember Greta & Konrad Lundgren, the owners of "Furniture & Antiques"? They moved into a Lundby Gothenburg I gave myself as a christmas present last year.

I bought the empty house just with two lamps & a mirror in it. It took a while until I got all the furniture I wanted, because i looked for those who would emphasize the nordic style of the blue floor and the light wallpaper. Fortunately Greta & Konrad run the shop :)...

Here you can see them enjoying the evening after work in their cozy livingroom.

They are talking about their new neighbours who bought the Gothenburg in their street, next to the Lundby´s house. Greta wonders if they will need some furniture and if they will come to the shop...

Konrad is a real music fan, he likes to play the piano and loves his new/old gramophone he bought yesterday from a costumer. So he listens kindly to Greta, but is also thinking about the gramophone and if he has some records for it...

I dated this house exactly to 1970, because of the wooden banister, the light wallpaper they used at the end 60s and the door to the entrance & bathroom. The earlier houses had no door - just a passage without a door and they changed it in 1970.

Credits: All furniture are Lundby, the most accessoires like lamps and the plant & telephone, too. The painting with the ship is the one I bought at "Tukadu", the little bird on the shelf is Wendt & Kühn and I have it since I am a little child. The gramophone is a fleamarket find, but it could be Lundby, they made some like these in the 80s. The cute felt pillows were a gift from carola from carolas-dollshouses.com. The bottle of sparkling wine is Hennig and maybe the glasses, too?!

And if you wonder why I´m still here writing posts... I decided not to be operated and to try some alternative therapies. I hope it´ll work!

you can´t say no when someone offers you a real good deal, (even if you promised to yourself not to buy another doll´s house in the next time) ;D But I thought this opportunity will not come a second time and so I gave myself a belated birthday present ... and I also pampered myself because I´m a bit nervous about my operation :(

It took me some deliberations where to put it in my small livingroom, but I found a (good?!) solution and now the Lundby´s have new neighbours living in a Lundby Gothenburg/Lundby Göteborg from 1975. The house came with some lovely furniture, tiny things like plants & dishes and... a SWIMMINGPOOL! It will need some more furniture and so today I just show you a small peek of my livingroom slowly transforming into a dollshouse museum...

i really do need a rest! (Maybe on one of these stylish miniture chairs MC, from my Realitty send to me?! Thank you again, my dear!!)

...but i´m not kidding! Some of you already noticed, i have problems with my left shoulder since weeks and now, after spending hours at different medical offices, i have a diagnosis - I need an operation :/. It´s nothing really bad but it will not get better by itself. I have a fixed date for the beginning of may and because i have to do some things for my little business and I also need time to prepare everything for the upcoming time with just one "good" arm, i have to make a little break...

I´ll sure follow your posts and everything around here, but I guess it´ll take some time until I´ll write comments or posts.

"Tukadu" - Prenzlauer Berg

If you ever plan a visit at Berlin you have to visit the "Tukadu" at Prenzlauer Berg!

Here you can see Cosima and Mara in front of this very cute shop. It´s specialized on miniatures and toys and it´s an absolute must to take a look at all the tiny cute things they are selling.

The little Shopwindows were decorated amazing and with many, many lovely details like this easter breakfast...

and a little fair! (I guess some of these miniatures are musical boxes) I bought a cute little painting for one of my Lundby houses, i´ll show you later.

I hope you all had wonderful easter holidays?! We had a wonderful time and as always if you are on holidays the time passed to fast!! Thanks a lot for all your nice comments you wrote the last week - I read and appreciated them all :)

Furniture & Antiques

This week Christine & Hans-Herman finally went shopping at "Möbel & Antikes"/ "Furniture & Antiques". It was a very nice but also eye opening trip for both...

Hans-Herman came with his fast car and here you can see them discussing about "Piff & Paff"... Christine wanted to take them with her but Hans-Herman said: "Sorry, but not in my car".
She learnt: He loves fast cars & no dogs in the car. He learnt: She loves her dogs more than he thought.

Christine loved the shop and also the very kind & friendly owners Mr. and Mrs. Lundgren, who recently moved to Lundby Village and opened the shop. They had a very good range of used furniture and also some lovely lamps, carpets and accessoires. Hans-Herman was very delighted with the black sofa & armchairs!

He also found a modern art print from the austrian artist "Friedensreich Hundertwasser", he really admires. He decided to take the yellow ceiling lamp you can see in the background and a tv set. And Christine learnt: He likes modern furniture, lamps and weird modern art...

In the area with the kitchen furniture Christine spotted two very adorable dachshund sculptures on a table - a wooden one and one made from murano glass. She wanted to buy one for her livingroom, but she wasn´t able to make a choice and it took a very loooong dialog before she chose the wooden one! He learnt: Yes, she really loves dachshunds and she needs hours to make a dicision...

Hans-Herman also needed a bed and his choice was the colourful modern one. After all Christine did not wonder about that, but she was wondering about the fact he carried the "Hundertwasser" around the whole store. She learnt: He is afraid someone could take his things...

In the bedroom area they had also some pictures of Royals and two brass sculptures of a king and queen. Christine loved the pictures and the sculptures but Hans-Herman tried to reason her out of these things, because he thought they are awful, but he didn´t succeed - she took the queen! And he learnt: She is stubborn and has a very bad taste sometimes...

But anyway they had a very nice afternoon together :) Today Mr. Lundgren delivered all the things and furniture at Christine´s house and Hans-Herman will move in tomorrow. But that´s another story...

I wish you all a very happy easter weekend! I´m going to Berlin to visit friends & family, so the next post will take a bit longer.

Ten random facts about myself…

I was tagged by Rebecca and Bea a little while ago, so here finally is my response...

1. I´m the younger one of two sisters and I always was the one with the sunny disposition in our family. Maybe it came with all the dimples I have?! It wasn´t easy to fulfil this determination some days…

2. My sister and I we are so different you can´t imagine. Not just the fact i´m blond with blue eyes and she´s brown-haired with dark brown eyes.

3. I was a child which played all the day and lived in some fantasy worlds I conceived myself. I always loved toys and I still do

4. I was called Nicki when I was small and my friends and family still do.

5. When I grew up I played the piano, sang in different choirs and played at the drama group of my school. One of the plays we did was “The lord of the flyes” by W. Golding.

6. I have twin daughters and we have the disposition for twins in our small family – maybe i´ll be a twin-granny someday?

7. I love to go to fleamarkets and to collect vintage things. At the moment i try to reduce all these “treasures” here at my tiny house, because it´s to overcrowded. I decided to close some collections and just to collect doll´s houses, dolls and furnitures, german children´s books not younger than 40 years and käthe kruse dolls – of course!

8. I am a fashion designer with a diploma but never felt like one :) I like to design children´s clothes and accessoires but I never was one of these fashion victims which go with every fashion hype you can get. You would be very surprised by a look into my wardrobe!

9. I love the art of “Friedensreich Hundertwasser” since i´m a small child. Sometimes i dream of the kind of life he lived: making art, sailing with his boat “Regentag” (rainy day) or just living a very simple life on his little piece of land in New Zealand… just a dream I know :) I would miss all my odds and ends I cumulated around me!

10. I don´t like to cook, really! But if you´ld ask my girls they would say i´m a good cook… I just hate the fact to do all the work to cook a good & healthy meal and then it´s eaten up in minutes. I would prefer to spend all that time in doing patchwork or things which will last for longer!

I uploaded more than one picture... I chose some pictures of my childhood photografic album, some of an album where i collected pictures from catalogues and drawings (all from my younger years in the 70s) and one picture of a cute spelling book my mum once made for me - all drawn and written by herself (by the way - she´s a teacher ;D)!

And because I had so much work with the pictures :) and a lot of my contacts here have been tagged before, i just chose 3 persons, i hope it´s okay for you...

Mrs Lundby´s Birthday

A big surprise at Lundby´s Livingroom! Today it was Mrs Lundby´s birthday and look what Mr Lundby bought for her - a new sofa, armchairs & a matching table. That was her heart´s desire since years, because they used all the time the old furniture Mr Lundby had in his bachelor flat, before they married.

All children painted cute pictures for her and here you can see the family sing "Happy Birthday". Even baby tried to sing! Mr Lundby also gave a lovely fish sculpture to her. It´s made from murano glass like the little bird on the shelf.

Later on Mrs Lundby´s in-laws came to celebrate. They had a wonderful afternoon with coffee, cake and sparkling wine... Baby was happy too because grandma & grandpa came with Kerstin, the little cousin, and she played the whole afternoon with baby!

I tried to make some pictures with the new installed lights, but i´m not so happy with the result... Maybe i should better take the picture with the lights of :(

PS: Christine and Hans-Herman were busy the whole week, so they had no time for the little shopping tour at "Furniture & Antiques". But Mr Lundby brought the black lether furniture there to buy the new furniture and i guess Hans-Herman will like a livingroom with a black lether sofa & armchairs...

During the last days I "played a bit Hans-Herman" and fixed all my Lundby lamps to light my houses.

Some of these came with the Lundby Gothenburg /Lundby Götheborg, I bought for Family Lundby last summer.

Some others came with furniture & things i bought on eb** or tra**ra. I was realy happy there was this little pack of plugs through the Lundby things from my childhood, because a lot of the lamps from the gothenburg were without plugs. The yellow lamp above is interesting, too. I bought it in the original package and all looks like Lundby, but as you can see, there is "Lillbo" written on it. Is "Lillbo" the same like "Lundby"? If anybody can tell me more about "Lillbo" I would be very happy.

I don´t know if all lamps are original Lundby, but i think the most are. Now, i have to decide which lamp should be in which house in the end... I have to do a little research in pepe´s old catalogues, because i´m a real nitpicker and i want the houses with the lamps from the right period :)

And could anybody please tell me why Lundby made these very practical little retaining pins on the ceilings of the Gothenburgs and stopped it when they produced the Stockholm??!!! I bought my Stockholm without any marks from stuck on lamps on the ceiling, because the former owner had no light in the house. And now I should start to stick lamps on the ceiling :O... I don´t know if I can do this... How do you stick your lamps on the ceilings?

Friday it was Hans-Herman´s day...

Hans-Herman: Hello, I´m Hans-Herman Anderson, but you can say Hans-Herman if you like.

Christine: Hi, Hans-Herman, i´m Christine. Do you want to take a look at the apartment first?

H-H: Wow, what a wonderful room - so much space and i like the light wooden floor and the chocolate brown wallpaper very much, because brown is my favorite colour. hum, the furniture is a bit like in the smoking lounge of an english club *laughs*...

C: I´m so happy you like the wallpaper! The furniture is not my taste either, but i bought it with the house. You can rent the flat unfurnished and bring your own furniture if you like.

H-H: I sold everything after my wifes death. The house and the furniture...

C: I´m so sorry about your loss...

H-H: Thank you. But i´m feeling much better now. I had to leave it all behind. I´m living at a friends house at the moment. But i would like to move to Lundby Village because of my job at the hospital and to start another stage of live...

C: Yes, i understand you very well... Would you like a refreshment?

H-H: Yes, great idea. I would like to take it here to get a better feeling for the atmosphere here in the apartment, if it´s okay for you?

Later on they talked about this and that...

C: *laughs* By the way, where was this picture of you taken?

H-H: Haha, it was taken at my friends house - all these crazy posters, yes!! Hahaha... but it was the only picture i had at hand when i wrote the letter. I´m happy you didn´t jump to wrong conclusions...

C: *coughs slightly* hum, yes i always try to get to know someone before i draw conclusions. So, how do you like the apartment?!

H-H: I really like it! hum, but i would need a kitchen, wouldn´t i?

C: *hesitates a bit* Yes, of course... There are fittings for a kitchen in one corner... or if you like you can use the kitchen upstairs together with me...

H-H: Oh, yes really?! What a nice suggestion!

C: The handymen just finished my kitchen and i know how much work it is to install a kitchen... we can take a look upstairs if you like?!

H-H: Lovely light room and you furnished it so tasteful!

C: Oh, thank you... yes nearly everything is perfect, i just need an electrishian for the ceiling lamp. I have two left feet and something is wrong with it.

H-H: Oh, no problem i can maybe fix it for you. *jumps on the table*

C: I can get a ladder...

H-H: Don´t worry it´s quickly done...

Hans-Herman fixed the lamp and Christine couldn´t believe how fast the afternoon was over and how good she felt in Hans-Herman´s company!

C: So, would you like to rent the apartemant? I would like to welcome you as my new lodger.

H-H: Yes, great! I could move in the 1. April... But i would like to get some furniture before.

C: My neighbours told me about a new shop in town, "Furniture & Antiques". You can take a look there. They have new and secondhand things. I´ll bring the english club furniture there...

H-H: Well, maybe we can go together - I can help you with the furniture and you can help me to find new ones...

C: Good idea - i´ll call you next week. Bye, it was nice to meet you!

H-H: I´m very happy all turned out so well, Christine - bye!

What do you think - will Hans-Herman be the right one to move in?!

A weird afternoon...

Today Christine invited two of the three guys she selected to be eventual the flat lodger. First Thorfinn arrived with his bulldog Sweetie-pie...!

Thorfinn took a very short look at the apartment, said some impolite things about the wallpaper and the furniture and didn´t listen when Christine tried to tell him, that he could change everything. Meanwhile they had some coffee sweetie-pie sat on her owners lap like a queen. Christine didn´t know that he would come with a dog and the situation was very awkwark, because Piff & Paff were really unhappy about the third dog in the house! Paff didn´t stop to growl and Piff was so untamable, Christine had to hold him during the whole conversation...

In the end Piff jumped up the stairs and started to bark and Thorfinn had nothing better to do than to tell Christine that her dogs are very uneducated and that he´s not sure if he wants to live in a house with two little gadflies!! You have to know Christine loves her two dachshunds and they never behaved like that before. I guess they sensed Thorfinn wouldn´t be the right logder!

Later on Brodde arrived. He also took a very short look at the apartment. He didn´t like the furniture either and started to tell her what he would change and that he is a very good handyman. The weather was fine and so they they decided to sit on the balkony. Brodde came with a "Bild" newspaper under his arm and when Christine brought the applejuice he tossed his stupid newspaper on the table, his jacket on the floor...

and slouched on the gardenchair, while he started to talk about himself: why he would be the perfect man to live in the apartment... because he is so modern and his taste is so great and that he´s such a sporty guy... blah blah blah... every sentence started with "i am..."! Christine was totaly fed up with his self-adulation. Even Piff and Paff started to yawn! After a while he took his newspaper and asked if he could move in next week! Christine was speechless!

After Brodde left Christine was very unhappy with the afternoon. She felt like everything went wrong and it took a long phonecall with Mrs Lundby (who had unfortunately to stay at home with four children with chickenpox) to make her feel a bit better.

Friday it´s Hans-Herman´s day... :)

Awards...

I received some lovely awards lately and i want to say THANK YOU to all who gave them to me!

it makes me very happy you like my lundby village stories and all the other little things i like to show!

and i really appreciate all the contacts and friendships i found here the last months. i started this toy blog without any expectations and i never thought i´d find so many other people who like toys, dolls and especially dollhouses like i do. it´s so great to have friends to share a hobby with!

and because i´m not a real award-type and it´s to hard for me to select just six people, i´ll leave these awards here for all readers of my blog - which received the awards from others around here anyway :)

i was also tagged by petra, rebecca and beafordolls and i´m still thinking about this game :) i would like to play it but i´m not sure my english is good enough to tell 10 random facts about myself... and that´s no fishing for compliments - you don´t know how looooong it sometimes takes to write the texts here!

New guys in town

yesterday christine invited mrs lundby to take a look at the three guys she chose from all the mail she received... she got a lot of letters, but a lot of the men who wrote weren´t appropriate for christine.

here you can see thorfinn. he is 32 years old, a teacher and got a new job at the local primary school. and he apparently like stripes in black and white. hopefully he isn´t just thinking in black and white... :O

this fellow is called brodde, he is 35 years old and he works as a physiotherapist in lundby village. christine calls him the "pril-flower-type" because of the "pril blume" behind him at the wall :) (pril flowers are very typical for the 70s era here in germany.)

and last not least: hans-herman. he is 33 years old and a widower. he is looking for an appartment because he´s got a new job as a pediatrician at the hospital in the next bigger town near to lundby village. christine was a bit concernded about all the posters you can see in the background of his picture... but she likes his letter and his sad & friendly look... *sigh* ;D

what do you mean - what should christine do next? invite them alone to show them the appartement or together? she doesn´t know and mrs lundby has no idea either...

recently i bought some dollhouse dolls, because of one caco-couple i was interested in.

all the other dolls in the parcel were dolls someone liked and played with a lot. and this someone made some cute tiny clothes for them - or maybe a granny or mummy?!

all these cute little clothes reminded me of a book i once bought on a fleamarket. it´s a sewing book for children and it´s lovely! it explanes everything you need to craft: sewing, embroidery, knitting and crocheting.

News from Lundby Village

yesterday afternoon when all the older lundby kids went out to play with friends, mrs. lundby decided to visit christine, because she wanted to know how the idea with the lonely hearts announcement worked out. (and she also was a bit curious about the villa - but pssst!)

fortunately christine was home after work and had the time for a little talk. she told mrs. lundby that she had another idea for the "menhunt"! when she bought the house she knew she has to rent out the lower part of the house, because she doesn´t need all the space and she also needs the rent. so she will make a announcement to hire out the appartement with a search for a male roomer - isn´t she clever?

christine´s dachshunds piff & paff were very interested in baby, but baby first was a bit shy... but look it tryed to stand on the sofa to get a better look on the dogs! mrs. lundby is very happy about that. baby often comes to briefly with four elder siblings and so it´s good to see, it is going it´s own way.

later on christine showed mrs. lundby the appartement. it´s crowded with furniture the previous owner left and christine bought with the house. she doesn´t like anything in here, but maybe the new roomer will use it first? she also needs a kitchen...

she also would like a man with a car - the garage is so empty! she is going to work by bike but she´s dreaming of a car, too...

when baby started to stand in the buggy to look for piff & paff, it was time to go home...

christine promised mrs. lundby to call her soon when she get´s some answers on the announcement.

on her way home mrs. lundby was thinking about the lovely big villa and all the space christine has just for her own needs and about the lovely modern lether sofas...

and christine went into her big house just with piff & paff at her side and thought about how cute baby was and that mrs. lundby is a lucky person with a lovely husband and a bunch of children...

and they both thought how good it is to have a friend!

Käthe Kruse Däumlinchen Babies

the käthe kruse dolls i always loved the most! the cute little däumlinchen (thumbelina) babies.

just 25 cm small, with a soft body and dangling arms and legs. they were made with painted hair or wigs from real human hair. here you see bobbele from 1986

this sweet little guy is from my childhood, i called him phillip and i played a lot with him. in the catalogue he was wearing a yellow felt cap, but i never had one. i bought him without and crocheted him a yellow baby bonnet - but i like him more without :)

both are from the same catalogue from 1977/78 like louise. at the catalogue they are called fritzl und charlie. little charlie on the right was bought years later, but he likes to play with phillip since then.

you can also have sleeping däumlinchen like this one in the vintage carry bag. she is from the 80s and is wearing a little christening robe.

last not least: billy from the 1989 catalouge. he is one of a series of afro-american däumlinchen käthe kruse made since they were produced in the 50s. billy is named mohrle at our home and belongs to my daughter mara.

i hope you liked this little trip to the world of käthe kruse dolls? i´ll tell you soon more about christine and the lundbys... promised :)

Kaffeeklatsch at family Lundby´s home

ever since mrs lundquist (the woman we know as christine), moved to lundby village, mrs lundby wanted to invite her for a kaffeeklatsch, to welcome her and to get to know her a bit better. today is the day...

mrs lundby first was bit nervous, because mrs lundquist owns this big stockholm mansion and is a real business woman with her own immovables company, but after a few moments of unease she noted that christine is a very lovely and normal person.

they had some fruitcake & coffee and after that some sparkling wine... and here you can see them in an very cheerful admosphere :) mrs lundby couldn´t understand why christine was a single for so long and so they had the idea that she has to write a lonely hearts ad at the next newspaper...

meanwhile the lundby kids were going mad downstairs. mrs lundby asked the twins sabine & sabrina and peter & klaus to look for baby while christine´s visit. she layed a very nice table with cookies and juice for them and first everything was okay...

but then sabine, who is the more agile of the twins, freaked out! she began to immitate a guy from the last comedy show she saw on tv and climed up the chair to tell some jokes.

baby didn´t like that and started to cry...

so sabine had to stay at the girls room all by herself... nonetheless christine and mrs lundby had a nice afternoon and i guess it was the beginning of a great friendship :)

Doll Fashion

because i am a fashion designer (with a diploma - hohoho ;D ) i collect everything i can get which contains doll fashion:

i found this "neue mode" doll fashion magazine at our local charity shop, last summer and i can´t get enough of the pictures!

all dolls are wearing outfits from the 70s i grew up with.

my sister and me had this printing set with disney animated characters, but we never used it to print fabric for our dolls - isn´t that cute?!

all the dolls are from schildkröt, wehncke and zapf, three well known german toy companies and they are shown in sizes from 30 cm up to 52 cm.

i had one of these schildkröt baby dolls called "schlummerle" ( i can´t translate that - schlummern is a cute word for sleeping...), they have a soft body and cute baby arms and legs made of plastic.

i even adore these very, very cute drawings at the sewing instruction part of the magazine.

and i´m a bit sad that i never had a granny or mum, who would have sewn dolls fashion like this for my dollies - maybe that´s the reason why a began to sew myself and guess what were the first things i sewed.... yes, doll clothes :)

everything is different! i planned to show you a lot of new things - i had so much ideas when i came back from my short sylvester trip. but actually i had to care for my youngest daughter cosima, who is ill with mononucleosis. she was so ill :( we had to go to the hospital over the weekend. now she is recovering day by day and i´m very thankful!

but leastwise i have some wonderful pictures from a lovely doll´s house you can get at ebay on sunday.

the seller allowed me to show some more pictures she send to me today.

this house is from the 60s and the scale is 1:12 (no scale for me but i think it´s absolutely lovely). the measurements are: base plate: 82 x 55 cm, width 76 x 32,5cm, the rooms are 20,5cm high, the terrace roof is 20,5 x 33cm, and the height of the house is 21,5cm. awww, i love the dolls they remind me so much of the dolls a played with when i was a small child (before the lundbys came into my life). the furniture are great too - aren´t they?!

The Lundby Advent Calendar 2007 - Part 2

finally i want to show you the second part, of the tiny goodies from my lundby advent calendar. sorry, i´m so late, but i had a bad cold with sore throat during the holyday season (thanks for all your good wishes!!) and then i made a short trip to the island of rügen...

there were some cute little christmas plates, a lovely tiny pie and some mixed nuts and ginger bread packages. i was very pleased with these things!

here we are with another bag with parcels and i agree with helene - they are a bit to big! a supercute casket with a necklace and... a picture... yes, a picture... the sort of modern lundby pictures i don´t like that much... but i think i´ll find a better "painting" for it and then it´ll be okay.

further on there were two "pieces of fabric". i guess the one with the christmas tree is ment as some kind of christmas carpet. the other one, made of fabric like they use for shower curtains, could maybe be a kind of blanket... i don´t know?! i don´t think christine or the lundbys would like to cover themselves with a "shower curtain" ;D

my absolutely favorite was santa´s costume :) it´s made with real fake fur and it came together with a little beard to stick on - awwwww!!!

at door 24. there was a little monster... um, baby... my youngest daughter cosima called him jesus because of his "birthday", but i think the real jesus must have been much more handsome! you don´t think little "monster jesus" is ugly...

he is! i don´t know who painted his face, but it must have been someone, who never took a real good look how humen eyes look and on which place the eyebrows belong... jesus´ body is really cute with tiny little fingers and tiny babyfeet, so maybe he needs a new face?! the blanky was part of the calender, too. it perfectly matches with the two star pillows from the calendar, but i think i have to trim the edges, they are not so well done.

all in all i was pretty happy with my calendar and i think next december there will be one more :)

i wish you all a happy & healthy new 2010 and i´m looking forward to a year full of mini treasures and dollhouse dollies adventures, together with you! nice to meet you here, my dear mini collector friends!!!

this cute little hand embroidered german dolls wall hanging says: "wake up merry my dolly" awwww!!! unfortunately the furniture were to big for the doll´s houses i prefer, so i didn´t buy them and just kept the pictures :)

mine arrived a bit to late and i´m not so patient like helene to show one item a day. so here is the first half of my lundby goodies from the calendar and the second half will be shown after christmas.

and last not least, some clothes... hm, unfortunately all my dolls are not made for changing clothes. so i have a real good reason to buy some new ones, to change their outfits ;D yes, and a bear! don´t know if i like him or not... he looks a bit depressed - poor thing!

i´m pleased with my calendar, but some day (like today again) i think helene´s calendar from 2005 is a bit nicer... what do you think?

cute "villa maria" on ebay? it´s the same like our villa annina & mara, but in a better condition - i think it´s never been "renovated". it´s so interesting for me to look at these pictures!

i wonder why the one house, i found on the virtuell puppenhausmuseum, which looks the same like ours, is called "haus karin" and this one, nearly the same is called "villa maria"?! maybe "haus karin" was the simple version (for small purses) and "villa maria" was the version with the higher standard (and more expensiv). i can see differences at the doors (the glas has rhombuses) and the wallpaper is different, too.

i´m very curious how high this auction will end?! it´s not to late to make a bid... also thanks to dirk, who gave me the permission to show his pictures!!

stopp - first i´ll show you the solution. most of you were right :) christine moved into a new house! it´s her (and mine) dream come true: the Lundby Stockholm Villa/Mansion (first called Super or Deluxe Dollhouse).

she bought it some months ago, but she wasn´t happy with the most furniture which came with the house and so i helped her to find some we both like more:

here she is with her new guest room. this previously was a nursery, but without kids (and a husband) it´ll take some time before she needs one :)

this lovely bedroom is called nocturne, new (in yellow) at the catalogue 1978: singel bed no.7266, vanity with stool no.7116, bedside table no.7104 and a lovely closet no.??

cosima was my good fairy and picked the winner for me. it´s: ANNA!!!! Congratulations! please send me your adresse so i can send you the little present.

erstmal möchte ich euch noch danke schön sagen, dass ihr mir so viele liebe und interessante kommentare zu meinem letzten post geschrieben habt!

die beiden bekamen das gewünschte etagenbett!

they got the bunk bed they desired for so long!

es ist das lundby etagenbett nr.7500 (neuheit im katalog von 1972) und es war beim haus dabei. ich liebe ja diese roten zudecken, die jemand so wie beim bett der eltern, zusammen genäht hat.

it´s the lundby bunk bed no.7500 (novelty in the catalog from 1972) and it came with the house. i love the red blankets someone sewed together like in the parents bed :)

und nun wird endlich auch das geheimnis um das set mit den sesselchen gelüftet....

and now i´ll finally disclose the secret about the set with the little armchairs...

ich habe es bei ebay ersteigert und hatte mich schon gewundert, das der tisch auf dem bild so merkwürdig aussah!

i bought the set at ebay and wondered about the strange looking table on the picture!

dank eines artikels in im "lundby letter" (das clubmagazin des " i love lundby clubs" ) weiß ich inzwischen, dass es sich um ein sogenanntes "kombinationsbord" handelt, welches im schwedischen lundby katalog von 1982/83 als teil der kinderzimmereinrichtung nr. 7508, gezeigt wurde.
thanks to an article in "the lundby letter" (the clubmagazine of the " i love lundby club" ) i know it´s a so called "kombinationbord" and it is presented in the 1982/83 swedish lundby catalog as part of the no. 7508 children´s den!

es ist also nicht nur ein schreibtisch, sondern auch ein schminktischchen und eine schaukel für zwei kleine personen - süß, oder?! zeitlich paßt das "kombinationsbord" eigentlich nicht in dieses puppenhaus aus den 70zigern, aber es gefällt mir so gut :)
it´s not just a desk, it´s a little girl´s vanity with mirror and a baby´s rocker for two little persons - cute isn´t it?! chronological this set mismatches into a house from the 70s, but i like it so much :)
der teppich war auch ein ebay fund - er ist von lundby und das rote einzelbett no.7264 (für gäste wie die kleine cousine) ist auch ein lundby bett aus meiner kindheit. der kleine kleine rote stuhl kam mit dem haus, hersteller unbekannt. vielleicht kommt er aus dem erzgebirge?! weiß jemand etwas über stühle wie dieser?! ich habe einige ähnliche wie meiner in anderen puppenhäusern gesehen.

the carpet was an ebay find, too - it´s lundby and the red single bed no.7264 (for guests like the little cousin) is a lundby one from my childhood. the little red chair came with the house and it´s unknown. maybe something made in the german ore mountains?! does any body know more about chairs like this one? i have seen several similar chairs like mine at other doll´s houses.
ich hoffe euch hat der vorläufig letzte "ausflug" in das haus der lundbys gefallen? ich habe noch andere lundby-schätze hier in meinem kleinen zuhause die ich euch zeigen möchte, aber ich weiß nicht ob ich das noch vor weihnachten schaffe??

endlich zeit euch die etage mit den kinderzimmern zu zeigen! als erstes das zimmer von den jungs:

peter & klaus haben das größere zimmer bekommen, aber sie teilen es auch mit baby und den zwillingen, weil dort einfach mehr platz zum spielen ist!

peter & klaus got the bigger room, but they share it with baby and the twins, because there is more room to play!

klaus versucht gerade zu verhindern, dass lumpi sich mit dem kätzchen streitet...

sabrina liebt das schaukelpferd und würde am liebsten den ganzen tag schaukeln :)

die meißten möbelchen und das spielzeug der kinder sind noch aus meiner kindheit. das regal, die lampe und der nachttisch waren schon im haus. der teppich, die topfpflanze und den vorhang habe ich bei ebay gefunden. alle möbel sind von lundby. das babybettchen, das schaukelpferd und der laster sind von caco. die tafel und die sesselchen aus holz sind auch von ebay und zu diesen möbeln gibt es noch eine interessante geschichte, aber die erzähle ich euch nächstes mal...

gleich neben der küche das hübsche rote eßzimmer mit der standuhr, mit dem ich schon als kind gespielt habe. neu dazu gekauft ist nur der lundby teppich. der lundby kronleuchter war mit beim haus dabei - aber ich möchte eigentlich eine andere lampe für das eßzimmer, weil diese nicht zum folkloristischen stil der möbel paßt.

next to the kitchen the lovely red diningroom with the grandfather´s clock, i played with as a child. i just bought the vintage lundby carpet. the lundby chandelier came with the house - but i want another lamp for the diningroom, because this one doesn´t figure with the folkloric style of the furniture.

das süße dala pferd habe ich neulich auf dem flohmarkt gefunden. der mann sagte es ist original aus schweden!

i recently found this cute dala horse on the fleamarket. the man told me it´s original from sweden!

das bad war schwer zu fotografieren, weil es kein fenster hat. ich habe meine alte badezimmer einrichtung von früher genommen um es einzurichten. mit dem haus zusammen kam genau die gleich einrichtung und so haben lundbys nun zwei waschbecken, was mit so vielen personen ja auch sehr praktisch ist! spiegel und lampe waren schon im haus. der teppich stammt aus dem selben konvolut, wie der im eßzimmer.

it wasn´t easy to take a good picture of the bathroom, because there´s no window. i took my old bathroom furniture from my childhood to furnish it. together with the house came the same bathroom furniture and so the lundbys have to sinks now, i think that´s very convenient with so many persons! the mirror and the lamp came with the house. the carpet is from the same mixed lot like the one in the diningroom.

like in real life also at family lundby nearly everybody is in the kitchen...

frau lundby hat gerade den tisch gedeckt und will mit ihrem mann in ruhe eine tasse kaffee trinken...

mrs. lundby just layed the table and wants to drink calmly a cup of coffee with her husband...

...aber peter spielt mit baby. (das arme kleine ding bekam niemals einen richtigen namen)

alle küchenmöbel (set nr. 9272 von 1972) und die lampe waren mit beim haus dabei und sind original lundby. babys hochstuhl und das kehrblech mit besen sind von caco und aus meiner kindheit. das rote kaffeeservice mit dem runden tablett sind aus dem puppenhaus meiner mami. mit einigen der anderen geschirrstücke, den blumen und dem wäschekorb habe ich auch schon als kind gespielt, aber woher sie kamen weiß ich nicht mehr. der brotkorb mit den brötchen ist von hennig und ganz neu.

ja, und was zum teufel macht dieser playmobil-hase (vom flohmarkt) auf dem küchentisch?!

das schlafzimmer "blue heaven" (nr.9716) kam mit dem puppenhaus und herr & frau lundby sind sehr stolz darauf!

sie brauchen noch ein passende gardinen, eine lampe und ein hübsches bild... vielleicht den röhrenden hirsch ;D ?! aber sie haben noch das alte radio von früher - weiß jemand ob das auch von lundby ist?

mein aktueller flohmarkt fund: das lundby fahrrad (nr. 6661)!!! ich wollte das lundby fahrrad schon immer! und da war es, auf einem tisch zwischen lauter kram dem ich nie einen 2. blick schenken würde... ich konnte es kaum glauben!

my latest fleamarket find from today: the lundby bike (n0. 6661)!!! i always wanted the lundby bike! and there it was, on a table among all this stuff i would never give a second view... i barely couldn´t believe it!

ist es nicht toll?! man könnte wirklich damit fahren und die pedale sind auch beweglich! ich bin wirklich happy :)

isn´t it great?! one could really ride it and the pedals is also mobile! i´m really happy :)

hier also das wohnzimmer. fast alle teile sind aus meiner kindheit, bis auf den fernseher, die teppiche, die lampe, herr lundby´s gemütlicher fernsehsessel (alles von lundby) und natürlich die kätzchen (lego scala).

here comes the livingroom. nearly all things are from my childhood, except the tv, the carpets, the ceiling light, mr. lundby´s cozy recliner (all lundby) and certainly the kitten (lego scala).

der kleine schaukasten ist von mir selbstgemacht und enthält winzige muscheln von raab, eine jugoslawische insel, wo wir anfang der 70er im urlaub machten. eigentlich war die box ein schächtelchen, in dem gummis für die zahnspange meiner schwester andrea waren :) als sie leer war bekam ich sie! süß, oder?!

the little showcase is made by me and shows tiny shells from raab, a yugoslawien island, where we spend the summer holidays at the beginning of the 70s. the box was a present from my sister, when it was empty :) before she gave it to me, there were little elastics, my sister needed for her braces, inside ! cute isn´t it?!

und hier ist herr lundby, der seinen feierabend genießt. er braucht noch den passenden hocker um die beine hochzulegen. der kleine beistelltisch & die gardine kamen, so wie die coole orangefarbene deckenlampe, zusammen mit dem haus. diese grün-goldene lampe ist von mir, aber ich habe keine ahnung, von welcher marke sie ist - lundby ist es nicht.

and here is mr. lundby who enjoys his beer o´clock. he needs the foodrest which normaly comes together with the recliner, to put his feet up. the little side table & the curtain came with the house, like the cool orange ceiling lamp did. this green-golden lamp is from my childhood, but i don´t know anything about it - it´s not lundby.

wie ihr euch alle sicher erinnert habe ich ja im juni ein puppenhaus für familie lundby gekauft, weil ich mein altes puppenhaus von damals leider weggeben hatte. es ist ein sogenanntes "göteborg", 1973 in deutschland hergestellt.

like you all surely remember I bought a doll's house for family lundby in june, because i unfortunately gave my childhoods doll´s house away. it is a so called "gothenburg", made in Germany in 1973.

ich mag die "bauhaus" ähnliche farbgebung der fußböden so gerne und deshalb habe ich auch ein paar fotos von dem unmöblierten haus für euch gemacht.

i like those "bauhaus" similar colours of the floors so much and therefore i also took a few pictures of the house without the furniture for you.

wie man hier schön sehen kann, hatte das deutsche göteborg von 1973 (und die zusatzetage) noch türen aus holz, eine umrandung aus beigefarbenem lackiertem holz, aber schon die weißen plastikstufen das weiße plastikgeländer.

as you can see here, the german gothenburg from 1973 (and the additional extension) still had wooden doors, a beige-coloured painted framing, but already the white plastic stairs and the white plastic banisters.

vielleicht mache ich mal ein post in dem ich alle unterschiede zwischen dem deutschen und dem schwedischen lundby "göteborg" puppenhaus von 1973 vergleichen werde... sowas finde ich als sammlerin ja immer sehr interessant!

aber: "tadaaaa"... hier ist endlich das haus mit familie lundby:

maybe i´ll make a post about all the differences between the german and the swedish "gothenburg" doll´s house from 1973... as a collector i´m very interested in things like that.

familie lundby ist inzwischen längst eingezogen, aber leider habe ich immer noch keine schönen fotos vom kompletten haus. deshalb hier ein paar fotos von den verschiedenen möbel sets und kleinigkeiten mit denen ich schon als kind gespielt habe:

family lundby already moved into the new house, but unfortunately i still don´t have beautiful photos of the complete house. therefore here are a few photos of the different furniture sets and trifles which I already played with as a child:

mein 70er jahre wohnzimmer im schwarzen "leder look" (nr. 9511). das tablett und die beiden messingkelche sind aus dem kinder überraschungsei. die bunten römer sind aus dem puppenhaus meiner mutter.

my 70s livingroom in black "lether style" (no. 9511). the tray and the both goblets are out of a kinder surprise egg . the coloured rummers are from my mum´s dollhouse.

eins der lundby puppenmöbelsets welches ich unbedingt haben wollte - das skandinavische schlafzimmer (nr. 9720). eine der neuheiten aus dem lundbykatalog von 1971.

Villa Annina & Mara

vor jahren, brachten oma & opa unseren zwillingen dieses entzückende puppenhaus mit. sie hatten es von bekannten bekommen und opa hatte es liebevoll für annina und mara restauriert.

years ago, granny & grandpa brought this darling doll's house for our twins. they had gotten it from acquaintances and grandpa had restored it carefully for annina and mara.

leider waren unsere mädels damals noch viel zu klein für ein puppenhaus. als sie das dach dann letztendlich mit buntstiften bemalten, wurde es für später weggepackt.

unfortunately our girls were at that time still much too small for a doll's house. when they painted the roof then finally with colored pencils, it was packed away for later.

später als wir es ihnen wiedergaben, wollten sie aber viel lieber ein barbie-haus :(

later when we gave it back to them, they wanted a barbie house :(

da ich aber immer das gefühl hatte, dass "villa annina & mara" etwas besonderes ist, habe ich sie all´ die jahre gut verwahrt.

I always had the feeling that "mansion annina & mara" is something special, so I kept it well all the years.

dank der tollen seite: virtuelles puppenhausmuseum der 50er - 70er jahre, konnte ich das haus jetzt auch zuordnen!! es ist eigentlich ein "haus karin" von albin schönherr (ddr, um 1958). glücklicherweise war opa sehr zurückhaltend mit seiner renovierung und hat sich auf die außenwände beschränkt. innen hat die puppenstube noch die alten tapeten und den alten fußboden.

thanks to the wonderful page: virtuelles puppenhausmuseum der 50er - 70er jahre, i was able to allocate the house. it´s a "house karin" made by albin schönherr (ddr, about 1958). fortunately grandpa was very reservedly with his renovation and he just made the external walls. inside the doll´s house has still the old wallpapers and the old floor.

...und ich glaube christine hat auch schon ein auge auf diese kleine villa geworfen!

angefangen hat es hier ja mit käthe kruse puppen. nun habe ich aber festgestellt, dass dieses thema allein vielleicht doch zu speziell ist?! denn ich mag ja nicht nur käthe kruse puppen, sondern auch noch andere püppchen, alte kinderbücher und die aufmerksamen leser unter euch haben es ja sicher schon wahrgenommen, ich habe meine leidenschaft für puppenstuben & puppenhäuser wiederentdeckt! momentan noch schwerpunktmäßig lundby...

i started this blog just with käthe kruse dolls. now i think that´s to special?! i also like other dollies, vintage childrens books and newly i rediscovered my love for dollhouses - mostly lundby at the moment...

familie lundby ende mai wiederzuentdecken und ihnen zum neuen haus zu verhelfen, hat mir soviel freude gemacht, dass fam. lundby ein thema sein wird, zu dem ich immer wieder schreiben möchte.

it was so much fun to rediscover family lundby at the end of may and to offer them a new home. i´m sure fam. lundby will be a topic to which i´ll write again and again.

diese süßen alten möbelchen gab es neulich bei uns im zentrallager und wer weiß, was sie noch für geschichten bereit halten?! da kommt also bestimmt noch mehr zum thema puppenstube & puppenhaus. :)

i found these cute vintage furniture recently at our charity shop and who knows what kind of stories they will bring? there will be much more to write about. :)

... bei meinen kruse-puppen:

hier tummeln sich die "puppe eins", das "planscherle" und das "badebaby", die "däumlinchen" und die "glückskinder", das "hampelchen", das "kleine deutsche kind" und das "rumpumpel" und auch das süße alte kleine "du mein" auf meinem sofa, bevor sie dann wieder in der vitrine wandern und im restlichen wohnzimmer verteilt werden.

demnächst hier wieder ein bißchen mehr zu meinem lieblingshobby: "käthe-kruse-puppen", aber momentan fehlt mir leider total die zeit dafür.

Wie alles begann, Teil 2.

so, wie versprochen, will ich euch nun endlich erzählen, wie es kam, dass die "puppe eins" und ihre schöpferin käthe kruse so berühmt wurden:

käthe kruse war nun inzwischen wieder nach berlin zu ihrem mann max kruse zurückgekehrt, da sie 1909 die 3. tochter (johanna, gen. hannerle) zur welt gebracht hatte. sie machte immer noch puppen für ihre mädchen und die kleinen geschöpfe wurden immer weiter verbessert und erregten bald die aufmerksamkeit von max kruses künstlerfreunden. das führte dann letztendlich dazu, dass käthe kruse zur teilnahme an der ausstellung "spielzeug aus eigener hand", im berliner warenhaus tietz (inzwischen das "kadewe"), eingeladen wurde. käthe kruse war von dieser idee erst garnicht so angetan, da sie nicht die "abgeliebten püppchen" ihrer töchter ausstellen wollte. prompt machte sie neue, noch perfektere puppen, um das problem zu umgehen. diese puppen waren ein riesen erfolg, sie wurden sogar als "ei des kolumbus" bezeichnet und machten ihre schöpferin "quasi über nacht" berühmt!

bildunterschrift: frau professor käthe kruse in ihrem arbeitszimmer

die ersten aufträge für die "puppe I" kamen und sogar ein amerikanischer spielzeughändler machte eine bestellung über 150 puppen! käthe kruse, inzwischen 4-fache mutter (der sohn michael war geboren worden) kam zu dem schluß, dass sie eine eigene kleine manufaktur gründen müßte, denn in der künstlerwohnung ihres mannes, war die produktion nicht mehr machbar. diese erste kleine käthe-kruse-firma fand 1912 ihren sitz in bad kösen, nicht zu weit entfernt von berlin, wo sie bis nach ende des 2. weltkriegs blieb. bald nach der gründung der käthe-kruse-werkstätten, kam dann, sohn jochen, kind nummer 5. zur welt. aber auch die wachsende familie hielt käthe kruse nicht davon ab die "puppe eins" weiter in wertvoller handarbeit (und teils auch heimarbeit), zu produzieren. hier zeige ich euch ein paar bilder aus der bad kösenener produktion, die ich in einer alten zeitung aus dieser zeit fand:

die augenmalerin: hier werden die puppenköpfe sorgfältig mit ölfarbe bemalt. besonders die augen waren oft kleine kunstwerke, bei denen die farbe in mehreren schichten aufgetragen wurde.

das schneider-atelier. so ähnlich sieht es im atelier der heutigen käthe-kruse-werkstätten, in donauwörth, noch immer aus - bloß die puppenmode hat sich etwas gewandelt...

beim ankleiden der käthe kruse puppen. in dieses bild würde ich mich zu gerne "hineinbeamen" können...

versandbereit für die große reise in die weite welt...

und so manches puppenkind, dass vielleicht ein bißchen zu sehr "geliebt" wurde kam zurück in die werkstätten, zur puppendoktorin. die firma käthe kruse hat bis heute eine reparaturannahme und jedes käthe-kruse-puppenkind wird dort wieder "gesund gemacht" - egal wie alt es ist!

hier seht ihr minchen und hänschen, ein beliebtes puppenpärchen von damals, die ein bißchen am strand spielen.

als käthe kruse im jahr 1904 ihr zweites töchterchen sofie (gen. fifi) zur welt brachte, wünschte sich die große schwester maria (gen. mimerle) zum darauf folgenden weihnachtsfest 1905: "ein kind wie du und die mutter maria". damit meinte sie wohl so ein süßes baby, wie ihre schwester sofie (und das kleine jesus-baby) - etwas weiches und schweres zum schleppen und liebhaben. käthe kruse, die sich schon seit einer weile mit ihren töchtern in italien befand, wollte ihrer ältesten diesen wunsch gerne erfüllen und schrieb an den vater der beiden nach berlin, damit er zum fest eine babypuppe für maria mitbrächte. max kruse (ein bekannter bildhauer), konnte aber keine puppe finden, die seinen vorstellungen entsprach. sie waren ihm zu steif und scheußlich und er konnte sich nicht vorstellen, dass seine tochter zu diesen "leblosen, starren dingern" muttergefühle entwickeln könnte. er schrieb also zurück, käthe sollte welche selbermachen, denn eine bessere möglichkeit sich künstlerisch zu entwickeln, könnte sie nicht finden...

so entstanden die ersten puppenähnlichen gebilde, die sie aus einem küchenhandtuch herstellte. in die obere kante wurde eine kartoffel als kopf eingebunden, der körper mit etwas sand gefüllt und arme & beine abgebunden. für spätere modelle machte sie dann schon kompliziertere körperschnitte mit rundem bäuchlein, runden waden und niedlichen patschehänden (die sogn. froschhände). so entstanden die ersten richtigen stoffpuppen, die sie mit sägemehl füllte. mit der zeit verloren diese aber die füllung und so mußten wieder neue her. auch über die köpfe & gesichter der puppen machte sie sich viele gedanken, denn sie entsprachen noch nicht wirklich ihren vorstellungen. bei einem besuch in münchen, fand käthe kruse dann die kleine büste, eines kindes (die sogn. fiamingo-büste von françois duquesnoy), die ihr gut gefiel und proportional auch zu ihrem puppenkörper paßte.

sie kaufte also eine und überzog sie mit einem stoffbezug, der durch viele abnäher der kopfform angepaßt wurde. das stoffköpfchen wurde dann von außen dünn mit mit gips bestrichen und auf die darunter befindliche gesichtsform gedrückt. diese stoffhülle wurde wieder abgezogen und die so entstandene stoffkopie der büste goß sie innen mit wachs aus, um der gesichtsmaske noch mehr stabilität zu geben. dann wurde der kopf von innen ausgestopft und von außen mit ölfarbe bemalt - auch um die gesichter unempfindlicher und wasserabweisender zu machen. käthe kruse puppen waren also anfänglich immer stoffpuppen mit stoffköpfen - etwas warmes und weiches zum liebhaben, knuddeln & schleppen, so wie es sich mimerle gewünscht hatte... die so entstandenen puppen waren jetzt allmählich kleine, sehr aufwändig gestaltete kunstwerke. zusätzlichen reiz bekamen die puppen durch ihre kindlich-niedliche kleidung ... aber dazu ein andern mal mehr!

und nächstes mal erzähle ich euch, wie die puppe eins, denn so einfach wurde sie betitelt, ihren siegeszug im kinderzimmer begann...

Hanne Kruses Däumlinchen

letzes jahr hat das däumlinchen seinen 50. geburtstag gefeiert. däumlinchen heißt das kleinste kruse-kind nicht umsonst, denn es ist nur 25 cm groß. aber obwohl es so klein ist, hat es schon großes vollbracht. als käthe kruses tochter hanne kruse damals dieses kleine persönchen schuf, stand es um die firma nicht gerade rosig... aber das däumlinchen schlug auf der spielwarenmesse 1957 ein, wie ein "mini-komet" und sorgte für guten umsatz. das däumlinchen war dank seines drahtskeletts und weichem mit trikot überzogenem schaumstoffkörperchens, sehr beweglich & knuddelig. aber wegen seiner "kleinheit" eben auch die echte "käthe kruse puppe", für den kleinen geldbeutel. das däumlinchen ist seitdem im kruse-katalog zu finden und immer noch genauso beliebt, wie im jahr seiner "geburt".

die firma käthe kruse hat im jubiläumsjahr 2007 einige der däumlinchen aus dem allerersten katalog, in der kleidung von damals und mit einer ähnlich zarten bemalung wie früher, wieder neu aufgelegt. eins dieser kleinen schätzchen, das "linchen" durfte zu meinem geburtstag im april, bei mir einziehen.

sie hat heute vorsichtshalber ihren schirm dabei - bei diesem wetter, man weiß ja nie?! auch püppchen bekommen nicht gerne nasse füßchen. ...und keine sorge, ich habe ihr gesagt, dass man diese hübschen roten pilze nicht essen darf - auch puppen nicht! :)
